A fascinating read!
After reading some quite predictable books this year it was a nice change to have one that took me places I never expected. Odd behaviour and inconsistencies in the characters kept me guessing who would turn out to not be what they seemed and who was just a red herring; and the little weird moments in the story played out in a very interesting way.
I find it hard to review this book without giving much away, but I found it fascinating, tense, intruiging, and much more. I found myself flipping back to re-read some passages with the new knowledge gained towards the end of the book, and even the strange poetry that I thought was just a gimmick turned out to be really impressive once you get to the point of revelation. It must have taken the author ages to get it just right.
